McNairy County Sheriff Guy Buck injured in collision with log truck

MICHIE, Tenn. — We have received reports that McNairy County Sheriff Guy Buck was involved in an automobile accident early Thursday morning.

The accident occurred on Highway 57 in Michie, which is southeast of Selmer.

Reports indicate that it was a head on collision with a log truck. The reports also indicate he was rushed to Magnolia Regional Health Center, while in critical condition, in Corinth, Mississippi.

Currently he is in stable condition and plans were made to transport Sheriff Buck to Regional One in Memphis for further treatment.

There were no reported injuries for the semi driver. Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the situation.

Sheriff Buck was on his way to work when the incident occurred around 5 a.m.
