Jackson-Madison County Library offering several activities for children

JACKSON, Tenn. — With students taking a break from their studies for Thanksgiving next week, it may be a great time to visit your local library.

The Jackson-Madison County Library has several activities coming up for children.

On Monday and Tuesday, Story Time will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Little ones and their caregivers are invited to listen to a story and gather to sing, dance, and make friends.

For the older kids, the library’s teen area will be open Monday through Wednesday, offering a space to craft, study, or play games.

And there’s even more fun expected in the coming weeks.

“We are very excited about December,” said Jennifer Kilburn, Children’s Librarian. “We have several festive events for kids. First, that first Saturday of December, we will have a day when kids can come and make a gift to give to people, so in our big program center we’ll have lots of supplies for kids to craft. And they can leave with maybe a gift for their parent or sibling or somebody they want to give a present to.”
