It’s Thursday so let’s kick things off with your team of the week and it will be the
Milan bulldogs. Last Friday they defeated Mount Pleasant in round 2 of the playoffs with a final
of 42 to 16. The bulldogs continue their run of dominance in a game in which
they forced turnovers, put the opposing team in third and long and on offense had tons
of success on the ground and explosive passing plays through the air. This Milan team has been consistent
in their play all season and postseason. 31 Rushing touchdowns
as a team with 17 sacks and six interceptions. We caught up with head
coach Wade Comer and he spoke about last Friday’s win and the reason
his team has been playing like one of the best teams in all of Tennessee.
“You know our kids came out and played well you know it took us about the first quarter to get use to the speed of the game and everything and then once we did we sort of took over.
Well you know we got a good bunch of seniors you know we got thirteen seniors and they’ve played a lot of football over the years you know coming off last years season and everything we had a great year and making it all the way to the state championship game coming up a little short
and that’s motivated us all year.”

Milan will play host to East Nashville this Friday
in round 3 of the playoffs. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm.
