“I can’t begin to thank everyone enough for the overwhelming support shown yesterday after Sheriff Buck’s accident. From the first responders, to our local, state, and outside agency law enforcement partners who called, texted, and showed up in person—and to the many citizens who sent messages, posts, prayers, and genuine concern—your support has meant more than you know.
I know I have missed a large number of calls and texts, and I sincerely apologize. He would not want me to say this, but I’ve watched this man dedicate the last 15+ years to the county and to his employees. He was on his way to work, as he always is, long before most people start their day.
On behalf of the staff and myself, we are truly thankful that his life was spared. The Sheriff asked me to make sure everyone knows that he is okay and will recover. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support.
– Zach Bay, Chief Deputy”
