‘Santa, Snow, and Cocoa’ returns to Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — The West Tennessee Delta Heritage Museum hosted its annual ‘Santa, Snow, and Cocoa’ event Friday evening in Brownsville.

This festive event featured hot cocoa, some fake snow outdoors, and even an appearance by the big man himself, Santa Claus.

New at the event this year is a story time with West Tennessee children’s author Julia Hartsfield.

She read each of her early reader books “The Adventures of Hatchie and Friends” and “Tilly’s Great Adventure.”

“We like to think that this is our Christmas gift to the community. Giving them an opportunity to come out and enjoy the museums when they might not be able to do so during regular hours, but also a chance to celebrate the season,” said Sonia Outlaw-Clark, executive director of the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Museum.

There was a drop box for letters to Santa, or the option to tell him yourself.
