Reported break-in leads to Officer-Involved shooting

SAVANNAH, Tenn.— Officers respond to a reported break-in at a Savannah residence. Incident leads to an Officer-Involved shooting.

The Savannah Police Department released the following statement regarding the incident.

PRESS RELEASE – Officer-Involved Shooting

Savannah, TN – November 23, 2025

On November 23, 2025, officers with the Savannah Police Department responded to a reported break-in at a residence in the 100 block of Malcomb Street in Savannah, TN. Upon arrival, officers encountered an individual inside the residence, which led to the shooting incident. The subject involved, as well as the officer(s) present, will not be identified at this time. No additional details are being released pending further investigation. In accordance with standard procedure, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) was notified and has assumed responsibility for the investigation. No further information is available at this time.
