Johnny Alexander announces he will seek reelection as Sheriff of Hardin County in 2026
HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — Hardin County Sheriff Johnny Alexander has announced that he will be seeking reelection in 2026.

I would like to take this opportunity to formally announce that I will be seeking re-election as Sheriff of Hardin County in 2026. It has been a privilege to serve the citizens of Hardin County as your Sheriff and I look forward to serving four more years.
Since 2018 we have been able to add additional School Resource Officers, providing a total of 9 SRO’s now protecting our county schools. We have brought back the D.A.R.E. Program to teach our 6th grade students the dangers associated with drug abuse as well as the importance of good decision making.
Our department has grown by adding additional Deputies on each shift so that we may patrol and protect the citizens of Hardin County better.
Our Corrections Department has been able to add an extra litter pick up crew to help keep the county road sides clean.
We have many education programs and will soon open our new training center to offer inmates a chance to learn a trade, hoping they can become productive citizens and members of the community upon their release.
The new training center was made possible and is being built by grant funding at no cost to our citizens.
I look forward to earning your trust and support to help make Hardin County a place in which we can all be proud.
-Johnny Alexander
