What’s happening in West Tennessee this weekend

If you do not have plans for this weekend, you are in luck as the schedule is filled to the brim with holiday events going on.

LIVE NATIVITY

The first one we want to tell you about is a drive through live nativity right here in Jackson. It is at 448 old Malesus Road with the Malesus United Methodist Church.

There’s another drive through nativity in Reagan with the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. This one is at 105 Union Hill Church Road.

We have one more live nativity to tell you about in Paris. This is New Harmony Baptist’s 27th annual one at 7050 Highway 69 South.

All of these go on from 6 to 8pm.

PARADES

What is this time of year without some Christmas parades? Plenty are happening Saturday.

One in downtown Kenton. Lineup is at 6pm and the parade starts at 6:30pm.

Let’s move now to downtown Bolivar on Main Street. This one starts at 6:30pm. Brownsville has their parade starting at 6pm on north Washington Avenue. And finally Saltillo’s parade starts at 6pm.

HOLIDAY MARKETS

And, of course, we have holiday markets happening all day. We are going to stay in Saltillo with the holiday market from 9am to 5pm at the Saltillo School Gym. We can go back to Kenton from 11am to 8pm for the White Squirrel Christmas Shoppe at the Kenton City Gym.

And finally a day full of magic in downtown Huntingdon from 11am to 7:30pm, food trucks at the former First Baptist Church entrance, vendors starting at 1pm at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center, tree lighting at 6pm at city hall, and then Christmas at the Dixie at 7:30pm.

Wherever you go or whatever you do this weekend, we here at WBBJ hope you have a great time in West Tennessee.
