Drummond alleged associates appear in Circuit Court

JACKSON, Tenn. — Four individuals accused of assisting Austin Drummond while he was on the run from law enforcement were in Madison County Circuit Court Monday.

Michell Ovelis, Dearrah Sanders, Eric Wise, and Giovante Thomas were in court on four counts of accessory to first degree murder and one count of accessory to aggravated kidnapping.

The court hearing was a status hearing for all the defendants. The court gave a cutoff date of January 16, 2026 to agree on a plea agreement. If no plea is entered, the defendants will begin trial on May 5 and 6.

Ovelis, Sanders, Wise, and Thomas are accused of providing assistance and aid to Austin Drummond, who is accused of the July 29 quadruple homicide in Lake County of James Wilson, Adrianna Williams, Cortney Rose, and Braydon Williams.
