Lillie Mae Barnes
Lillie Mae Barnes, lovingly known as Polly, passed away peacefully at her home in Lexington, Tennessee, on December 14, 2025.
Polly was born on March 6, 1950, in Campton, Kentucky. A true family person, she loved her family to no end and found her greatest joy in being a devoted mother, a proud granny, and a cherished Gigi. Her warm heart, vibrant personality, and unmistakable presence could light up any room she entered, leaving lasting impressions on all who knew her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Norma Shelton and Elizabeth Shelton; two granddaughters, Christy Smith (Dustin) and Julia West (Casey); and her beloved great-grandchildren, Tyler Martin (Rebekah), Chloe Smith, Harley Smith, Braxton West, and Zach Rendon. She is also survived by her treasured fur baby, Sophie Jean Barnes, who brought her constant companionship and joy.
The family of Polly Barnes will receive friends at a memorial visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.
Polly’s legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
