The Flowood Police Department said the shooting happened at a Chick-fil-A Saturday night.

According to Flowood Police Chief Eric Zetterholm, the victim pulled into the Chick-fil-A and was shot in the foot.

However, the victim was not injured because the round did not make it past their steel-toed boot.

Kyle Maurice Ramos, 39, was arrested in connection with the shooting.

Ramos is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Ramos is being held at the Rankin County Jail without bond while awaiting an initial appearance in Flowood Municipal Court.
