Mary Jo Smith

Mrs. Mary Jo Smith, 68, of the Sidonia community passed away 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Archie Larry will officiate. Burial will follow in Graves Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Reynolds, Lance Reynolds, Greg Cutler, David Lynn, Michael Parker and Thomas Beasley.

Mary Jo was born May 4, 1957, in Tiptonville, daughter of the late Charlie Edward and Mary Katherine (Scott) Reynolds.  She married Jimmy Fowler November 1981.  He passed away November 21, 1986. She then married Kenneth Dewayne “Bubba” Smith November 4, 1990.  He passed away February 25, 2022. She was a member of Living Word Church in Hornbeak.  Mary Jo was a loving mom and awesome Nanny.

She is survived by one daughter, Maria Green of the Sidonia community; two sons, Zack Fowler of Martin and Shane Smith of Tiptonville; nine grandchildren;two great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Reynolds of the Shawtown community and Donald Reynolds of Troy; two sisters, Barbara Lynn of Tiptonville and Margarite Marlow of Dyersburg; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death one son, Jamie Smith; four brothers, Jackie Reynolds, Terry Reynolds, James Reynolds and Willilam Reynolds; and one sister, Linda Nichols.
