02/01/2026-BEA Morning Update

As BEA enters the eighth day of this event, 81 customers remain without power. Our goal is to restore service to everyone today, as long as conditions allow. Linemen continue working as safely and efficiently as possible, but progress remains slow and challenging.

We are grateful for the support of the contractors assisting our crews in the field:

  • Three crews from Service Electric
  • D & H Fiber, Chickasaw, and Southwest Electric (fiber restoration)
  • Crews are being dispatched this morning to the following areas:
  • Roger Springs
  • George West and Bishop Rd
  • Harrison Ln
  • 125 S and Reaves Rd
  • One BEA crew will be connecting services throughout the county
  • Fiber crews will be working systemwide to restore fiber service

As noted yesterday, this work is both hazardous and time-consuming. Crews are moving as quickly as safety allows. We understand how difficult it is to be without power, and we sincerely appreciate your patience.

Please keep a safe distance from all crews so they can focus fully on restoration efforts.

Reminders: If you have damage and have not contacted BEA, please call 731-658-5257.

We hope to have all remaining customers restored today if possible.

Our office will reopen Monday on our normal schedule.

Please stay safe, avoid downed lines and poles, and report any damage you see. Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation.

1/31/2026 Evening Update

As of 5:00 PM, BEA has restored power to 200 meters today. It has been a challenging day for our crews. The extreme cold and high winds have made conditions especially difficult. Approximately 98 meters remain without power.

Crews will continue working tomorrow, prioritizing the areas with the highest concentration of outages. Additional crews will be spread throughout the county to address the smaller outage areas. We expect to have restoration nearly complete by the end of the day on Sunday, with the exception of locations where we are waiting for customer repairs to be finished.

Fiber crews will also remain active across our service area, restoring service in all affected locations. We now have crews from Chickasaw Electric and Southwest Electric assisting with fiber restoration.

If you notice damage to the service entrance at your home or see any hazardous conditions, please report it to us at 731-658-5257. This applies to both electrical and fiber equipment. Please do not touch or approach any wires on the ground or hanging from your home or a pole. Safety must always come first.

We sincerely appreciate your patience as we work through this difficult time. Our linemen are doing everything possible to restore service to all members as quickly and safely as they can.
