Peggy was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a well-known contractor and owner of Herron Homes in Paducah, KY where she took great pride in building over 50 pristine houses until she retired. Prior to home building, she worked at the Wells-Lamont glove factory in Brownsville, TN and then was a seamstress at the Toggery Shop in Paducah, KY. She had a love of traveling with her family, especially to the Hilton in Brentwood, TN and the Smoky Mountains.

On September 28, 1957, she married the love of her life, Danny Joe Herron. Together they built a life they loved with two sons, two daughters in law, and four granddaughters. Peggy and Danny moved to Paducah, KY when the boys were young for work, but just before the passing of her husband, they moved back to the Stoggum Bottom community in Brownsville, TN to be with family.

She is preceded in death by her parents J.C. and Maggie Bee Johnson Taylor, her husband Danny Joe Herron, her brothers Edward Lee Taylor and Jerry Alan Taylor, and her son Edward Gaylon Herron.
