Donita Ellen Pearson
Donita Ellen Pearson, a devoted mother, loving sister, cherished grandmother, and compassionate nurse, was born on June 20, 1959, in Kennett, Missouri. She graced this world with her kindness until her passing on February 1, 2026, in Jackson, Tennessee.
Donita’s career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) spanned many years, exemplifying her commitment to caring for others. Her spirit was imbued with a nurturing warmth that extended beyond her professional life; she loved and adored her family dearly, particularly her beloved fur babies.
In her quiet moments, Donita found joy in watching classic television shows, with favorites like “I Love Lucy,” “Murder She Wrote,” and “Perry Mason” bringing smiles and comfort to her heart. These memorable snippets of entertainment reflected her vibrant personality and heartfelt laughter, which will be missed by those who loved her.
On this journey through life, Donita created lasting bonds with her family. She is mourned by the father of her children, William E. “Bill” Pearson. Her legacy continues through her son, Billy Pearson (Micah), and her daughter, Sara Haskins (Dustin). The love she cultivated as a mother flourished through her siblings—two brothers, Don Clayton, Jr. (Suzanne) and Ronnie Clayton (Tracey), along with one sister, Raeonda Clayton—and echoed beautifully in her role as a grandmother to four adoring grandchildren: J.P. Haskins, Liam and Lola Price, and Tripp Pearson.
The love of her life was not only human; her heart welcomed the companionship of her puppies—Bella, Molly, and Moo—who brought her endless joy and affection.
Though Donita’s parents, Don Clayton, Sr. and Virgie Hicks Clayton, have passed before her, the memories and love shared with them have undoubtedly shaped the remarkable person she became.
A memorial service celebrating Donita’s life will be held at Bells Funeral Home located at 5342 College St, Bells, TN 38006 on February 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
As we remember Donita Ellen Pearson, let us cherish the warmth she brought to our lives and honor her memory with the love and compassion that she so freely gave to everyone around her.
