Community Foundation of West Tennessee opens applications for annual grant program

Jackson, Tenn. – The Community Foundation of West Tennessee is accepting applications for its 2026-2027 Community Impact Grant cycle. Eligible 501(c)(3) organizations and Foundation funds are invited to apply for funding to support projects that directly benefit residents across 20 West Tennessee counties.

The Community Impact Grants are awarded annually to organizations that demonstrate a clear need and a measurable plan for success through a new or existing program. 

“Our focus is to help donors turn their generosity into real, measurable impact,” said Melissa Spurgeon, CEO of the Community Foundation of West Tennessee. “The Community Impact Grant program allows us to make a direct impact by partnering with organizations who are solving problems and creating opportunities for our neighbors. We look forward to seeing the innovative ways our local nonprofits plan to serve West Tennessee this year.”

Eligibility and Requirements: To be eligible, organizations must have 501(c)(3) status for at least three years or be an active fund of the Community Foundation in good standing. The program must serve residents in one of the following counties: Benton, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Dyer, Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy, Obion, Tipton, or Weakley.

Application Process:

  • Timeline: Applications are accepted from February 9, 2026, to March 31, 2026.
  • How to Apply: Submissions must be completed online at cfwtn.org/grants.
  • Notification: Funding determinations will be shared via email by June 1, 2026.

These grants are awarded on a reimbursement basis, and recipients will be required to submit an Impact Report by the end of the funding term.
