Family loses everything in weekend house fire

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. – One family lost everything in a weekend house fire in Humboldt.

The Humboldt Fire Department said they responded to a house fire at 2025 McKnight Street on Sunday. According to the fire department, the house is a total loss.

Jacqueline Porter, resident of the home, posted on Facebook that the family lost everything.  She said their immediate needs were clothes and shoes. They specifically needed school clothes for the children.

Fire officials said they have not determined the cause of the fire, but believe it was electrical.
