This sentence is consecutive to a three-year sentence for Aggravated Assault, which was revoked to also serve in prison.

On October 28, 2025, after a three-day trial, Carroll was found guilty of Kidnapping and Domestic Assault against his wife, with whom he had been separated. Carroll physically assaulted the victim inside her residence and then dragged her back into the house after she attempted to leave, causing further injury. The victim was able to surreptitiously make an open-line 911 call, while being held against her will, and law enforcement arrived to take Carroll into custody.

“Violent crime is our Office’s highest priority. Domestic violence cases can be especially dangerous; in 2023, 87 women were killed by their domestic partners in Tennessee. We are proud of the hard work by our prosecutors and the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office to hold Brandon Carroll accountable for his abusive actions. Our Office will continue persevering to remove violent offenders, like Carroll, from our safe communities. We also want to thank the victim for seeing this difficult case through to its closure.”

District Attorney General Frederick H. Agee

This case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Nina W. Seiler and Miller T. Edgin.
