Search continues for Benton County woman missing from assisted living facility

BENTON COUNTY — Authorities are searching for a 75-year-old woman who has been missing from an assisted living facility since midday Wednesday.

Alma Fowler, a resident of the facility for over eight years, was last seen wearing a green fuzzy sweater and brown pants. She is of Filipino descent, weighs about 110 pounds and is 4 feet 10 inches tall.

“She’s in very bad health,” said Benton County Sheriff Ken Christopher. “But anything that might be legitimate, call 9-1-1, call our office at the sheriff’s department, and let us know immediately. We’d like to get her found.”

Fowler has many serious health concerns and has been without her medications since she went missing. She is non-verbal and may not be able to respond with anything other than “yes” or “no.” Due to being off her medications for an extended period, she may also be experiencing hallucinations.

Extensive search efforts underway

Christopher said authorities have deployed multiple resources in the search effort.

“We’ve had drones, we’ve had the THP helicopters, we have had side by sides, we’ve had our bloodhounds out, we’ve used every resource we have and we have had no luck,” Christopher said.

The sheriff asks that the public remain away from the area around the facility while they continue their search.

Anyone with information about Fowler should contact the Benton County Sheriff’s Office at 731-584-4632. If you see her, call 9-1-1.
