Bolivar Tigers Middle School Boys Basketball team is going to state
Earlier today the Bolivar community
with friends, and family gathered to send off their middle
school boys basketball team. That’s
because they have punched their ticket to the state tournament.
The Tigers have had a successful season so far battling through adversity
and earned the chance to make school history. We caught up with
their head coach and he talked about the excitement of the team
and what can hopefully propel them to a state title.
“Yeah they excited they excited we been talking you know we all in the group chat together we been talking and they really excited and i’m excited for them because like i said they been putting in the work and you know its good to see that the work paying off. Our offense pretty good
but i think are identity is on our defensive end we get after of it defense pressure real hard you
know we do a great job on the ball defense i gotta couple guys that they buy in to the defensive side of it and that make everybody else buy in so i feel pretty comfortable.”
They will face off with Humboldt on February 13th.
