Pauline “Polly” Scott Stewart

After 72 years of life well lived, 53 years of marriage, and 44 years of motherhood, Pauline “Polly” Scott Stewart passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at the Brownsville Baptist Church with Bro. Walter Brinks and Dr. Ben Cowell officiating. Burial will follow at the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Brownsville, TN. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the Brownsville Baptist Church.

Grounded in her love for Christ, Polly was ever faithful to her Brownsville Baptist Church community, the church choir, and her dear friends of One Heart. Polly was a small business owner/manager throughout her life, but she lived for her family, doting on her grandchildren and always looking forward to the next family trip. She was loved and will be missed.

Pallbearers for the service will be Joey Parker, Chris Richards, Tyler Brinks, Joe Stephens, John Gorman and George Norvell.

Polly is survived by her husband, Eddie Stewart of Brownsville, TN; sons, Scott Stewart (Mary) of Memphis, TN and Bobby Stewart (Rachel) of Brownsville, TN; brothers, Robert Scott (Tracy) of Brownsville, TN and Pat English (Beverly) of Jackson, TN, and her sister-in-law, Jennifer English. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Sean and Lydia Stewart. Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Antone “Toni” Lanier Scott and her brother, Mike English.
