Madison County Fire responds to residential fire on Ashport

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. – The Madison County Fire Department responded to an early morning fire on Tuesday, March 3. According to Madison County Fire, a 911 call came in at approximately 5:30 a.m. regarding a residential fire.

The house was located on Ashport Road in the northeast district of Madison County.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within about 30 minutes.

According to Madison County Fire Department, “Crews arrived on scene to find a working fire with smoke and flames visible from the structure. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes. Personnel remained on scene to complete extinguishment and overhaul operations.

The cause of the fire has been determined to be electrical in nature. There were no injuries reported on scene.

The American Red Cross has been notified and is assisting the displaced family.

The scene is now clear, and traffic is flowing normally in the area.”
