New report breaks down franchise trends in Tennessee

From food and fitness to childcare and home services, franchise businesses are part of everyday life across the country. A new report breaks down franchise trends.

The 2026 Franchising Economic Outlook shows Tennessee is one of the top states for franchise growth.

Fueled by business-friendly policies, lower cost of living, and population growth in the southeast and southwest regions.

“There’s more than 20,000 franchise locations across the state, employing over 220,000 Tennesseans. And that creates 228 billion dollars in economic output,” said Matt Haller, president and CEO of the International Franchise Association.
