Green Acres Farm tulip season is here

MILAN, Tenn. — Green Acres Farms has an exciting addition to your weekend activities.  It’s tulip season at Green Acres Farm.

The farm opened its tulip patch for guests to pick Spring flowers.  The season for picking is short, so Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting, are the best days to stop by.  The farm offers a variety of tulips to pick and cut, including red, purple, yellow, and pink.

“You get your scissors, you get your basket, you cut your tulip, I’ve heard it’s best to cut it at an angle, that way its better to absorb the water and everything else and then also a lot of people don’t know, when you cut your tulip that will still grow in the vase so I’ve got some that I cut super short and then a day or two later they grow three or four inches, it’s pretty insane really,” said Walker Parkins with Green Acres Farms.

Green Acres Farm is located at 158 Medina Highway in Milan.
