‘Men on the Move Tour’ visits Alexander Elementary School
JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson City Councilman Johnny Dodd hosted the “Men on the Move Tour,” a community outreach effort to encourage and support young children.
The tour included a meet-and-greet at Alexander Elementary School early Friday morning.
Dodd invited men from all walks of life to take part, offering encouragement and a positive presence for students.
“It’s very important to build that relationship, especially with our men in the community. A lot of them don’t have a father in their life, so just seeing a male role model, just seeing a male figure when you get off the bus, just saying ‘Hello, good morning, how are you doing? Have a great day,’ it means a lot to these kids,” said Dodd.
