Organizations host a Community Health Fair
JACKSON, Tenn.—Local groups partner to offer a great way to make a fresh start this Spring.
Wellpoint partners with New Life Christian Center in Jackson to host a Community Health Fair Saturday.
The event took place from 10 until 1 in the afternoon at the church located at 726 Middleton Street.
Organizers created the event for others to learn something new and discover ways to live healthier lives.
Several representatives were on hand from the fire department, insurance companies, seniors services and more.
There were vision screenings, and information on issues including diabetes, blood pressure and heart problems.
“And we just truly believe that health is our greatest wealth, so we want to just promote health and all aspects to our community,” said Angelia Chaney, Pastor at New Life Christian Center.
The event was created to benefit the entire family and even had activities available for the kids.
