Final day at JTDFA dog show

JACKSON, Tenn.—The national AKC dog show continued at the Fairgrounds.

The event draws handlers and their show dogs to be matched against top national competitors in breed categories.

“We’ve had a lot of success, and we just love, we love showing, and coming here, and being able to show and I have friends that live near here, and they would be too. So it was fun, when you go away,” said Sally Taylor, dog owner.

Entries compete for the most points which can allow their show dog to enter other competitions like Westminster.

Sunday was the final day of competition and winners were announced at 8am with group winners at 12:45pm.

“He’s a Grand Champion, so we’re working on his Grand Champion Gold right now. So he’s been around for, he’s three and a half years old, so he knows what he’s doing,” said Willie Adams, dog owner.

The all-breed dog show is held annually by the Jackson TN Dog Fanciers Association.
