Jackson State Community College hosts financial resource fair
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson State Community College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society hosted a financial resource fair at the college’s student center on Tuesday afternoon. Each semester, the chapter is tasked with an honors and action project.
This semester, students looked into local poverty to make an impact. Organizations participating included the American Job Center, United Way of West Tennessee, Tennessee Vocational Rehab, Hope Life Church, and more.
The event provided job, financial, well-being, and educational resources.
“So we had some students reach out to some of our local community partners, and we even have some students that are already involved in some of these organizations that were directly in communications with us to help set up tables,” said Jason Keeton, faculty advisor for Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
The event was free for attendees.
