No burn permits to be issued this week
TENNESSEE – – The State Forestry Department has halted the issuance of burn permits for the remainder of the week.
The Henderson County Fire Department posted on their Facebook that the Division of Forestry has made the call to not issue the permits until conditions change.
“Per the Tennessee Division of Forestry, no burn permits will be issued today due to current conditions. These restrictions are in place to help prevent wildfires and keep our communities, first responders, and natural resources safe. Please avoid any outdoor burning and share this information with others in your area. Stay safe and help protect Tennessee!”
The State Forestry Department has turned off all burn permits for Thursday (March 26) and Friday (March 27).
