Jackson airport aims to ease travel stress with quick security, free parking

JACKSON, Tenn. — Are any of you looking at booking a trip, but may have to fly and you may possibly be worried about long lines and higher flight fees?
The Jackson Regional Airport located in the Hub City may help ease some of your worries. You can reach dozens of destinations across the country and beyond right here in West Tennessee.
“That allows us to have connections to over 3,000 cities with people flying from Jackson. We have had some go to Japan, Hawaii, and beyond,” said Kyle Barron, executive director at Jackson Regional Airport.
Currently at larger airports across the nation, there are larger security wait times and flight fees which can add stress to your trip. However, at the Jackson Regional Airport some of your worries may be reduced.

“What we have here allows you to save both time and money because you’re not in the line for TSA for 3 hours. You’re in line for maybe 30 minutes on a worse case scenario. You save your time and your money by not having to commute as well,” said Barron.
At the airport, there are 11 TSA officers who have been showing up despite not receiving a pay check.
“We’re very fortune to have them. They are a fantastic team. They make travel from Jackson very smooth,” said Barron

The Jackson Regional Airport currently offers connecting flights through the Denver Air Connection Regional Airline.
The jet the airline uses at the airport can hold up to 50 passengers and they make flights to Atlanta and Chicago six days week which allows you to connect at major hubs.
So if you are planning a trip, consider flying out of the Jackson Regional Airport before you book. The airport also offers parking that won’t cost you a dime.
