Founder and CEO of Miss Volunteer America honored with 2026 Kirkland Discovery Award

UNION CITY, Tenn. — Founder and CEO of the Miss Volunteer America Organization, Allison DeMarcus, has been recognized as a 2026 Robert E. and Jenny D. Kirkland Discovery Award honoree.

This prestigious recognition highlights individuals with deep roots in West Tennessee who are making meaningful contributions and lasting impacts in their communities and beyond.

The Robert E. and Jenny D. Kirkland Discovery Awards Gala and Fundraiser brought together distinguished thought leaders, policymakers, and philanthropists to recognize those who exemplify leadership, service, and innovation.

Allison was introduced during the gala by her husband, Jay DeMarcus of the country music supergroup Rascal Flatts.

Miss Volunteer America produces the Miss Teen Volunteer America and Miss Volunteer America pageants, held annually in Jackson, Tennessee.
