Mom accused of murder after infant found stabbed, declared dead at hospital: authorities
BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WHNS/Gray News) – Authorities in North Carolina said a mother was facing a murder charge in connection with a child who died Thursday.

According to the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, Ciara Frederick was taken into custody after a 10-month-old was found with multiple stab wounds. Deputies said they were called, along with medical personnel, to Rocala Drive just after 2 p.m.
The boy, identified as Enoch Chappell, was found with multiple stab wounds and was taken to Mission Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Frederick’s charges also included two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, deputies said.
