Pet of the Week: Big Ham

This week’s Pet of the Week from Tipton County Animal Shelter is Big Ham!

Meet Big Ham, a laidback love bug ready for his forever home.

If you’re in the market for a loyal companion who prefers cuddles over exercise, Big Ham might just be your perfect match.

Estimated to be around 3 to 4-years-old, this possible Lab/livestock guardian mix has quickly earned a reputation as one of the most easygoing and affectionate dogs around. Big Ham is a self-proclaimed “people person,” happily greeting everyone he meets with a wagging tail and a calm, friendly demeanor.

Recently, Big Ham enjoyed a leisurely outing at a local park, where he proved just how social he is, making friends with everyone from local firefighters to fellow pups, including Beagles and Dachshunds. His pace on the walk? A relaxed 37-minute mile, a true testament to his laid-back personality and appreciation for the simple things in life. He will definitely remind you to stop and smell the flowers.

He walks well on a leash, gets along great with other dogs, and hasn’t met a snack he didn’t enjoy. Whether he’s out making new friends or lounging at home, Big Ham is happiest just being near his people.

Big Ham will be neutered upon approval of an adoption application and is ready to find a home where he can share his gentle nature and big heart. Big Ham is as physically large as his personality; he is at least 60 pounds with room to fill out!

To adopt Big Ham, please contact Lee Riley or Amber Smith by calling (901) 837-5919.

Tipton County Animal Shelter also has an online adoption application available at tiptonco.com.
