Organizations partner for the West TN Family Expo
JACKSON, Tenn.—One local event connects West TN families with some much needed resources.
The West TN Family Expo took place from 11 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the STAR Center in Jackson.
The event included over 30 vendors from agencies all across the state offering families of students with disabilities information about local resources, information on community support organizations, as well as connecting them with other families.
There were experts on hand to answer questions for families and there were also activities for the kids to enjoy.
“Today, we’ve had all of our vendors show up, all 35 vendors. We have several families present today. So I’m very pleased with the participation today, I think it has been great! And the weather helped us out,” said Annette Graves, Regional Family Engagement Specialist with the Arc of Tennessee.
The event was made possible by the Arc TN Family Engagement Project, in conjunction with the STAR Center and the Jackson-Madison County School District.
