Mrs. Shirley M. Miller, 85, of Troy passed away 5:08 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, at Okeena Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dyersburg.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Franco Martinez will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.
Pallbearers will be Jim Miller, Jacob Cochran, Pete Hand, Adam Saddler, Ashley Elmore and Kevin Byrd.
Honorary pallbearer will be Zach Cochran.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until service time Sunday.
Shirley was born November 29, 1940, in Troy, daughter of the late Ellion and Lillian (Davis) Jenkins. She married James Leonard “Jim” Miller July 28, 2001. He passed away September 11, 2021. She worked for the former Reelfoot Packing Company and was a member of Archer’s Chapel Church in Frog Jump. Shirley loved listening to her windchimes and her flowers.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Townsend (Bill) of Church Hill and La Vanche Hand (Pete) of Friendship; one son, Claude Cochran (Diane) of Halls; one stepdaughter, Kristie Hayes (Mark) of Murfreesboro; two stepsons, Todd Miller (Deann) of Martin and Jim Miller (Betty) of Woodland Mills; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Tonya Cochran of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Harold Cochran; and two sisters, Dorothy McDaniel and Sarah Bowers Gardner.
