Man accused of stealing Bud Light truck, crashing into deputy’s vehicle during pursuit
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE/Gray News) – A man in Indiana is accused of stealing a Bud Light truck and leading authorities on a chase.

Randall Baker (Vanderburgh County Jail)
Officials say 41-year-old Randall Baker stole the truck around 3 p.m. from a liquor store.
They say Baker refused to pull over and led police on a chase. Deputies used stop sticks to try to stop the truck, but they say that was when Baker hit a sheriff’s patrol vehicle and crashed into a field.
According to the press release, Baker also refused to get out of the truck, and deputies had to use PepperBall rounds to get him out.
Baker was taken to the hospital for minor injuries from the crash. Authorities say Baker’s blood alcohol content was 0.103, which is over the legal limit.
The deputy whose car was hit was not hurt.

He faces charges of attempted murder, auto theft, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, resisting law enforcement, reckless operation of a tractor-trailer and driving while intoxicated.
