Man accused of using skateboard to beat his 90-year-old grandmother to death

HUDSON, Mass. (WCVB) – A Massachusetts man is accused of fatally beating his 90-year-old grandmother with a skateboard, then attacking two other relatives.

The violence unfolded inside a Hudson-area home near Boston on Tuesday.

Investigators said 29-year-old Devin Dube attacked his grandmother, then beat his father and sister with a skateboard.

“The defendant allegedly attacked Elaine Dube in the basement apartment where she lived in that home, striking her several times with a skateboard,” Middlesex District Attorney Mariann Ryan said during a press conference this week. “Following what would be a fatal attack, the defendant also got into an altercation with his sister and his father, similarly striking them with a skateboard.”

The grandmother was taken to a nearby hospital where she died.

The other two victims are expected to recover.

Dube was taken into custody without incident.

He is expected to be arraigned on several charges, including murder and assault.
