Urban Defense Gun Club offers fun community event

JACKSON, Tenn.—Hundreds of families went to Conger Park Saturday for a free Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the Urban Defense Gun Club.

An event, organizers say they started to bring more community activities to the neighborhood.

“Eight years ago we started doing this in the community because we saw that their was not any community events going on in the community,” said Terrill Perry, member at Urban Defense Gun Club.

The annual hunt ran from noon to 2p.m. with thousands of eggs for kids to collect.

“We also do a Youth Safety Camp every year. It’s in June. It’ll be June the 23rd through the 25th. The kids will be able to come out each day and learn something. At the end of the week, they will get their family and teach them what they learned and they’ll get awards,” Perry said.

Organizers say they plan to keep the tradition going again next year.
