Concordia Lutheran Church offers a free concert
JACKSON, Tenn.—One Jackson church offers a free concert for the community.
Concordia Lutheran Church hosted a performance Sunday at noon.
The concert featured a performance by trumpeter Joey Moore, with accompaniment from pianist Mitzi Mathenia.
Music included popular favorites and also choices that highlighted the musician’s instruments.
The show was free to attend but donations were accepted. The money collected goes towards future scholarships offered by the church’s music program, Concordia Conservatory.
“And so for the last six years, we’ve been hosting Concordia Conservatory where we’ve had local musicians come in and join our mission of helping us reach out to the community and teach music through the word of God,” said Eric Rudsenske, Pastor at Concordia Lutheran Church.
Concordia Conservatory is on a mission to create musicians who share their love of Christ with others through music.
