Slick Roads and Icy Bridges Tonight and Thursday Morning

Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. – Wednesday, November 14th

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for all of West Tennessee from now until 12 p.m. noon on Thursday, however, Henderson, Bolivar, Selmer, and Savannah will be out of the advisory by 6 a.m. tomorrow. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility tonight and early Thursday. Use caution while driving and if you don’t have to be out tonight, stay in!

TONIGHT
Snow will continue to fall in West Tennessee with a pocket of drier air making its way north into the viewing area effectively stopping the heaviest part of the snow showers soon. We’re still expecting a freezing cold night, which will lead to icy bridges and slick roads tonight and Thursday morning. Snow showers will linger after midnight allowing for a little more snow to accumulate added to what we already have but nothing terribly significant. Temperatures will drop to the middle and upper 20s by the start of Thursday morning.

Tomorrow, we’ll start with some ice-covered bridges and slippery roads in West Tennessee, especially those that sustained the most accumulation today. Under cloudy skies, we’ll only start in the 20s and warm up to the middle 30s tomorrow with a slight chance for a flurry in the morning. Thankfully, warmer weather will be coming in quickly on Friday with sunshine! Temperatures will warm up to the lower and middle 50s on Friday and upper 50s to lower 60s on Saturday!  Stay tuned to WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News for the latest forecast and school closing information, and keep up with Storm Team Weather Online too for more updates.
