Police: Suspects Stole Pain Medications From Bemis Pharmacy
BEMIS, Tenn. — A local pharmacy fell victim to a burglary of medications, Wednesday night. Jackson Police officers responded to an alarm call around 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday to the Vantreese Pharmacy located on 1463 South Highland Avenue. When officers arrived, they discovered the front door glass had been shattered and the metal security gate on the interior had been damaged. There were some pills stolen, which included scheduled pain medications. In the surveillance footage, the male suspects and wore excessive clothing and hoods to disguise their identities. The pharmacy is conducting a complete inventory to determine exactly what medications were stolen.
