Inmate Runs After Funeral
Police in Lexington are looking for a Fayette County jail inmate who a judge allowed to attend a memorial service. 22-year-old DeMarcus Dakarr Simpson was let out of jail on a court order Tuesday with a requirement to return by 8 p.m. He did not come back to jail, where he was being held in connection with parole violation, drug trafficking and other charges. An escape charge awaits Simpson when he is found.
