Investigators offer $5,000 reward in gun store burglary
GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn–“I could see how people would want to target this business,” said Justin Scott, owner of RFC Tactical in Milan.

Unfortunately Sunday afternoon, that was the case, as RFC Tactical was broken into.
“I was really tore up this morning that this happened,” said Scott.
Scott said he was at a his daughter’s ball game when the store was broken into.
“I drove straight back here and started going through the madness,” Scott said.
Scott says a few weapons were stolen, but the expensive items were left behind.
“It was amazing that they didn’t get anything really of value,” Scott said. “It’s minor losses compared to what it could have been. No major weapons got out on the street and that’s always a plus.”
Scott estimates the losses around at least $10,000 dollars in damages.
“Lots of panes of glass, the panes of glass are very expensive, damaged the security system a little bit,” Scott said.
He also said he’s surprised the individuals would target his store, just minutes away from the Milan Police Department.
“You spend two minutes in the store loading up stuff, by the time you’re getting out, they’re here,” Scott said.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is assisting in the investigation. Spokesman Michael Knight says the stolen weapons creates a dangerous situation.
“Even if there is one stolen firearm that’s out in the public, this creates a dangerous situation, not only for first responders, but for the general public as well,” Knight said.
WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News reached out to the Milan Police Department for a comment however they could not release a statement at the time.
