Pop-Up Showers and Thunderstorms Possible This Weekend

Weather Update – 9:37 a.m. – Saturday, June 8th

Starting out with a dry morning ahead of another afternoon of scattered pop up thunderstorms. A few storms will have heavy downpours and the possibility of small hail.

Sunday will bring more of the same with mostly cloudy dry morning and showers and storms in the afternoon.

TODAY
Showers and storms return in the afternoon, high of 82.

After starting out mostly start this morning, scattered thunderstorms are possible in West Tennessee from the later hours of the morning through the evening before we get a break Saturday night. Watch for isolated downpours tomorrow! Never drive around the barriers blocking a flooded road. The road may have collapsed under that water. A mere 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock over an adult. It takes just 12 inches of rushing water to carry away most cars and just 2 feet of rushing water can carry away SUVs and trucks. It is NEVER safe to drive or walk into flood waters. Stay with WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News for the hour-by-hour forecast and keep up with Storm Team Weather Online too for more updates.
