GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Local Students displayed their works of art, Sunday at an art show in downtown Humboldt. Locals gathered at the West Tennessee Regional Art Center where students from 6th grade to 12th grade were able to display their works of art. There was also a reception where they gave out awards, like cash or art supplies. The artist who won best of show said art is a way for him to channel his emotions. “It’s a way of showing my feelings. I’m not much of an outward person. So I feel like my art shows what I’m feeling,” Austin McElveen said, a 10th grader at Briarcrest Christian School. The students artwork will be on display through Feb. 28.
