Toyota Bodine executives tour Jackson plant, meet employees

JACKSON, Tenn. — Toyota Bodine executives are stressing the importance of skilled workers and the Jackson plant.

Chris Reynolds, the head of manufacturing for Toyota, says the Jackson plant is using more robotic machines, but now the facility needs more skilled workers to control those machines.

Reynolds says their best selling vehicle, the RAV-4, is partly made here in the Hub City.

“We make it right here in the U.S., and in fact, the engine casings and the automatic transmission casings are made right here in Bodine Jackson,” Reynolds said.

Reynolds says if you are not already a skilled worker, you can start working to become one through Tennessee Promise and Tennessee Reconnect.
