Scattered Thunderstorms Possible This Weekend

Weather Update – 10:45 p.m. – Friday, August 2nd

Tonight has been mostly quiet but scattered thunderstorms and localized downpours came through parts of West Tennessee near the Tennessee River. The chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms increases in the forecast this weekend, so remember – when thunder roars, move indoors!

TONIGHT
Isolated showers will continue to linger into the evening before mostly dissipating by midnight. Temperatures will drop to the upper 60s by sunrise. Dense fog is possible in West Tennessee early Saturday morning with visibility less than a mile in some areas.

Temperatures will warm up to the upper 80s and lower 90s tomorrow afternoon with humidity making it feel like the middle to upper 90s at the warmest point of the day. From the late morning through the evening, scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible producing heavy rain and frequent lightning. Stay weather aware, and when thunder roars, move indoors! Our forecast looks similar on Sunday with drier weather to start the workweek.
