Madison Co. parents to get involved at summit
JACKSON, Tenn. — Madison County parents have the opportunity to get involved in their child’s K-12 education.
The Parent Summit and Expo is open to all parents of students in Jackson-Madison County schools.
It features teacher-led sessions, lunch and vendors from the community.
They’ll discuss literacy and math during some of the sessions, along with different social topics.
School officials say it’s all about student success and getting parents involved.
“We’re doing the summit because we think it’s bringing in teachers, parents and the community to have a holistic approach. It help parents find resources, and they’ll be able to ask questions,” said parent engagement coordinator Angela Searcy.
The Parent Summit will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Isaac Lane Elementary School.
