Police: Man Hits Two Trees, Drives Into Building

UNION CITY, Tenn. — A Union City man was airlifted to the MED after police say he struck two trees and drove into a utility building, early Wednesday morning. Noah Adams, 29, was reportedly traveling west on High Street around 2:45 a.m. when he hit a curb, went airborne and hit a small tree, which he uprooted. Police say Adams then hit another tree, which caused the car to spin around and strike a utility building, which knocked it five feet off the foundation. Adams was trapped inside the vehicle and was extracted by the Union City Fire Department. Police say he said “I’m drunk” then said “but I’m not driving” before he was removed from the car. Adams was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, and was driving on a suspended license. All charges are pending at this time.
