Car Accident on I-40 Sparks Brush Fire

NORTH JACKSON — Problems with a pickup truck on I-40 in North Jackson slows traffic and causes a grass fire, Monday afternoon. This was the scene just after 2 p.m. Monday as first responders worked to clear the scene of a pickup truck pulling a trailer. It apparently jackknifed and sparked a small fire. The flames was quickly extinguished, but there was a traffic backup in the east bound lane as workers cleared the area. Police say there were no serious injuries.
